Currently I'm a professional self taught reborn doll artist and work on One of A Kind art dolls and sculptures. My passion for music and photography are all apart of my creative process.
I stumbled upon the art of reborn dolls back in 2009 and was very interested in how they were made, painted, layered, basically just the entire process. Beautiful works of art that were so life like my curiosity took over. So began a search on how it all works. After watching some YouTube videos, I ordered my first kit and found something truly unique and different. I since have been blessed with customers around the world. Here I am 3 years later continuing on with this art form! I seriously love what I do. Though some find it kinda strange, I find it totally invigorating!
"Dark and Twisty Dolls" were born at the end of 2009 with my Wednesday Addams baby. I love dark victorian beauty, so it was only natural for me to take a reborn kit and transform them into beautiful dark dolls with realistic features.I have branched out into Victorian Gothic dolls and wonderful character dolls full time as of January 2011 and very excited to see what 2012 will bring.
The middle of 2011, I decided to also offer my "Oddly Sweet" One of A Kind Art Dolls & animals sold through Etsy and all reborn babies are sold at auction through eBay. I wish I could keep everything in one place but different markets seem to work better for different types of my work. My artist influences & inspirations are artists like Tim Burton, Ray Caesar, Aubrey Beardsley, Natalie Shau, Jimmy Gnecco, Brandon Boyd and anything beautiful yet odd. I'm obsessed with all music, the beach, black and white photographs, the smell of rain, big eyes, black mascara, laughing, anything that is odd, weird, glamorous & beautiful.
